Winning Successful Bids

14 July 2010 - London

Formal public sector commissioning and procurement processes seem to create more and more hoops for voluntary sector organisations to jump through every year. Whilst there is a great deal of training for commissioning and procurement teams – with the Department of Health investing millions of pounds on implementing World Class Commissioning – there has been no support for those in the third sector who have to respond to commissioners. This course fills that gap.

With a squeeze on public sector budgets and the private sector taking an interest in areas that were once the preserve of the not-for-profit sector, charities and social enterprises face increasing competition for business. This means that a highly professional way of responding to ‘Invitations to Tender’ is needed.

Even the best providers must know how to sell themselves effectively and how to respond to tender opportunities. Without rigorous skills in responding to tenders, business can be lost and valuable time wasted in putting together unsuccessful bids.

You will learn about the legal structures and principles behind ‘Invitations to Tenders’, why different procurement systems are used for different services, what commissioners are looking for from submissions, and how to put together a bid that maximises your chance of winning work.

£175 plus VAT per course.
