Mark Napier - Public Innovator

Mark Napier has extensive experience of working with government organisations at both local and national level. He specialises in innovation models and how they can be best applied to improve public sector outcomes.
His belief is that the best ideas for change are more often to be found in the community rather than among professionals and has applied his grass roots innovation models in a variety of settings, consistently obtaining results that mainstream public sector structures are failing to capture.
Mark is well renowned for his report-writing where his philosophy is that anything written must quickly enable demonstrable change for the community.

Richard Tamlyn - Public Innovator
MA, BA(H) CQSW MIMC
Richard is Chair of CPI Board of Directors. He has a wealth of skills and over 20 years of years of public experience.
Richard was an early pioneer of prison based drugs work and has worked extensively in the prison and probation fields at national level. He was Chief Executive of the Exeter Drugs Project before joining HMPS Drug Strategy Unit and then followed with a stint at National Probation Service Headquarters.
Included in his portfolio is work on the National Development Programme for offenders with low level mental health issues, the DCSF High Focus Area Project implementing the Every Child Matters Change Programme and Revolving Doors. This year, Richard has delivered, a review of mental health provision in Dorset prisons and forensic reviews of the whole drug treatment systems in Bolton, Sandwell and Stoke on Trent.
Richard has been an Honorary Fellow of Exeter University and is a Member of the Institute of Management Consultancy.

Peter Mason - Public Innovator
BSc, RGN, RMN, Behavioural Psychotherapist
Peter has 20 years experience in healthcare as both commissioner and provider in the UK. He has a renowned reputation for successfully getting public sector professionals to improve social results.
As a Harkness fellow, Peter studied international drug policy and prison healthcare at Columbia University, New York. He also studied Innovation and Outcome Management at The Rensselaerville Institute, New York.
Peter has an extensive proven track record in bringing about large-scale innovation. He is the Founder of The Centre for Public Innovation and the Founder of Secure Healthcare, the UK's first social enterprise delivering high quality healthcare to prison inmates. Peter is a respected speaker and writer on how to commission and deliver the best outcomes for service users and how to bring about public innovation. He regularly advises and works with government departments, health, local and CJS authorities and on a range of projects to support the achievement of this aim.

Bernadette Bruton - Public Innovator
MSc, BA(H), PRINCE2 practitioner, ITEC Dip.
Bernadette has joined CPI from the Home Office where she has worked on a number of high profile government programmes. This includes the ViSOR programme which developed the UK's first national intelligence system to effectively manage violent and registered sex offenders. After this, she worked in the Home Office Drug Strategy Unit where she led the work to strategically link the Drug Interventions Prolific and other Priority Offenders Programmes.
Bernadette manages CPI's internal systems, contributes to on key project delivery and leads on developing CPI's business and strategic alliances. She has recently worked with South East Regional Offender Management Service to strategically map their work to reduce re-offending as well as with our partner insititute, The Rensselaerville New York, to bring some key learning from emerging work to the UK.

Mark Davison- Public Innovator
Mark has been part of CPI since 2003. He previously led services across both the voluntary and statutory sector within Children's Services, Housing and Homelessness and Community Safety.
Mark currently oversees the development and delivery of CPI's Beyond Management portfolio of leadership training and bespoke leaders support. He also specialises in outcome based commissioning training and support to Substance Misuse joint commissioning partnerships, Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnerships and Children's Trusts and others.
An experienced facilitator and coach, Mark has a passion for working one-on-one and in groups to shift individual and collective thinking and behaviour to solve problems, champion innovation and deliver outcomes that really reflect the needs of communities.
A keen traveller with a world wide view of everyone and everything Mark took a year out in 2004/05 to explore the Asia and Australasia; and now back in the real world he is a regular swimmer, cinema and gallery goer, self confessed comic book geek and social butterfly.

Nazanin Zaghari - Public Innovator
MA (Communications Management), BA
Nazanin has joined CPI as Marketing Administrator early 2008. She has recently completed her masters in Communications Management in London. Previously, Nazanin has been working for the World Health Organisation and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies in communications and public relations, back in Iran.
With her international experiences in communications and media, Nazanin takes lead on the communication and marketing side of the company as well as providing administrative support to the CPI team.

Andrew Cook - Public Innovator
Andrew Cook is CPI's finance guru. He is a Chartered Accountant with over 30 years experience in commerce. He has worked on key international finance projects including Singapore, Dubai and Australia.
Andrew is responsible for managing all CPI accountancy systems including key budget forecasts and cashflow projections.
