New York - Innovation for Better Outcomes (TIE) – January/ February 2009

This is the sixth year the Centre for Public Innovation has been organizing a Transatlantic Innovation Event (TIE). CPI has been running TIE events since January 2003 every year (with the exception of last year) which have been always popular with fantastic feedback from participants every time. Each event is strictly limited to 25 places to ensure a high standard of training and plenty of time for one-to-one support and tuition.

This course will give a chance to the delegates to understand the principles of innovation and outcome management as powerful, practical tools. To further ground the learning in practical experience, the delegates will hear how the USA public sector is innovating and what successes they have achieved.

This yea, the TIE event will take place on 29 January – 2 February 2009, in New York. In order to read more about the event, agenda, course fee and booking procedure, please click here.

Over 200 specialist officers attended these workshops to work towards meeting and sharing ideas and information.

Peter Mason ran the workshop for CPI encouraging police forces to become more creative and businesslike in their approach. Peter urged that as drug dealers become bolder and more entrepreneurial, the challenge is for criminal justice agencies to do so too.
